HCl Acid Inhibitor
Hydrochloric Acid Corrosion Inhibitor chemicals designed to inhibit HCl acid corrosion during acid cleaning or pickling. They contain an effective combination of surfactants, solvents and dispersants with excellent corrosion protection in hydrochloric acid baths at relatively high temperatures. These chemicals work to reduce the corrosive attack of hydrochloric acid on metal surfaces. It does this by diffusing from the bulk solution to the metal surface and adsorbing onto the surface creating a protective film to limit the contact of the acid with the base metal.
Sulphuric Acid Inhibitor
Sulphuric Acid Inhibitor serves as an additive uniquely formulated for various industrial processing involving sulphuric acid etching. These additive chemicals produce an inhibitory protective film over metals and alloys, even silicon steel, protecting them acid etching. Added to a chemical stream to prevent corrosion, or lower the rate of corrosion, to extend service lifetime. H2SO4 inhibitors are often the most cost-effective way to prevent or control corrosion because they allow less expensive metals for a corrosive environment.
Areas of Application
Corrosion by organic acid is complicated by the virtually unlimited number of possible compounds. The corrosion of metals by organic acid is often confounded by trace impurities such as oxygen and metallic salts. Often the acids are not handled as pure products but as mixtures with inorganic acids, salts, a wide variety of organic solvents, and in mixtures with other organic acids. Organic Acid Corrosion Inhibitors are one of the five ways besides material selection, design, cathodic protection and coatings, to protect materials against corrosion. Corrosion testing in organic acid media can be either difficult or misleading, mainly because of the effect of impurities.
Organic Acid Inhibitor
Organic Acid Corrosion Inhibitors are widely used in industry because of their effectiveness at wide range of temperatures, compatibility with protected materials, and good solubility in water, low costs and relatively low toxicity. Organic corrosion inhibitors adsorb on the surface to form protective film which displace water and protect it against deteriorating. Effective organic corrosion inhibitors contain nitrogen, oxygen, sulphur and phosphorus with lone electron pairs as well can contain structural moieties with pi-electrons that interact with metal favouring this adsorption process.
