Overview

Dispersants are specifically formulated for use in liquid/liquid heterogeneous mixtures to separate the mixing particles and avoiding their precipitation. They can be termed as a treating agent comprising up of surfactants, wetting agents and other additives, each having unique characteristics and properties.

To ensure safe, well maintained operations of cooling tower at optimum efficiency, it is essential that correct water conditions are maintained at all times. Dispersants are ideal for use in a range of cooling systems including cooling towers, re-circulating and once through cooling water systems, scientifically formulated to efficiently remove and disperse unwanted microbial fouling, slimes and biofilm from cooling water systems. Our cooling water dispersants help to system efficiency, optimize operating costs, reduce maintenance and system shut-down periods, and aid safety management.

Dispersants are of different categories specific to their application such as automotive, concrete structures, detergents, oil drill, oil spill, process industry, etc.

Most commonly used dispersants are synthetic polymers that come in various types, typically depending on the type of fouling being targeted.

  • Low Molecular Weight Anionic Polymers are most used synthetic dispersants
  • Cationic Amines and Quaternary Amines are used to control bio-fouling
  • Non-ionic Polyacrylamides are used to disperse silt and clay
