Overview

Demulsifiers or Demulsifying agents are a class of specialty chemicals to separate emulsions, such as, water in oil. As crude oil is produced from a reservoir, it mixes up with either natural formation water or mixed formation and injection water. It is a very important part of refining process operations where the crude oil is efficiently and quickly separated from the water, maximizing the crude oil value and minimizing operating costs.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Exhibits superior performance at lower treating temperatures
  • Can be used to treat high gravity crude, enhance interface, clean up and improve water clarity.
  • They act as polishers, brighteners and finishing compounds
  • They can increase the speed of water flow
