Pour Point Depressant/ PPD is a specially formulated polymeric additive in hydrocarbon solvent and a broad spectrum pour point depressant additive designed to modify the wax crystal, limiting crystal size growth and thereby improving the diesel fuel flow. PPDs' are very efficient in reducing the pour point of middle distillate and diesel blends. It is used in upgrading heavier cuts in the diesel pool thereby improving the returns and margin.
